Kor George, Dance Practice, NS jitters, To do before NS List

had lunch with korkor George (long long overdue!) @ Dr Greens @ The Centrepoint. it was really nice catching up with someone whom i've known for nearly a year under the most impossible circumstances. thanks for the NS advise and the shopping for essential NS clothing. hurhur.

last night after a whole evening of hiphop reharsals for SGH's Art festival tomorrow. i'll miss these luminous orange and yellow walls. ):

reflections aye. which brings me to my next ramble.

i'm looking back at my time spent before going into NS and i recollect the things i want to do and the things that i've done on impulse.

i can pretty much say that i've achieved my short term goals and the to-do list before i enlist.

1. i've met up with pretty much MOST (*cough*Mandy*Cough*Kok*cough*Yongmin) of my friends before i go in.
2. i've cleaned up my room and tied up the loose ends in CCWA & CJSOPA for my hiatus.
3. i'm still working on my university positions.
4. i'm trying my best to get over that friend (still)
5. i'm learning to accept circumstances beyond my control (i.e THIS NS)
6. i've learned to love myself alot more than anything else
7. i've shopped. a. freaking. hell. lot. and most of my stuff are not part of the GSS. -_-
8. i've went overseas and saw the brother (Adelaide!)
9. i've done charity work through performances!
10. i've done runway (not real runway but like, street fashion a gd start :D) wef TMR
11. i've done student photoshoots (thanks Miki & Elvis)
12. i've done hiphop performanceS (plural!)
13. i've done vocal performances wef TMR
14. i've learn to be more generous towards friends, close or not. it's always better to give than receive.
15. and to expect NOTHING in return. unconditional!
16. i've learnt to take cold showers! (Tekong ain't no holiday resort, no hot water)
17. i've eaten almost every fast food possible (abstinence of 2 weeks is hell)
18. i've given myself 3 conseceutive party nights with loads of booze to get it out of my system (for 2 weeks haha!)
19. i've settled my financial accounts for the first half of 2007 (gah overspending)
20. i've resumed using Photoshop! so cheers to black borders for all my friendster photos.

when i go into Tekong for the initial 3 weeks confinement, there will definitely be a culture shock for me, especially with my restricted freedom.

but if i can find (within my direct unit) anyone that are as friendly and loving as ANY of these people above. God, count me the luckiest baldie in the world.

will i find Weiyin's quirkyness, Mabel's Friendliness, Derricks Mambo-ness, Alarics laughter-ness, Jeremys royalhighness-ness, Jaysons Critique-ness, Daryls Welfare-ness, Aarons rambling-ness in my NS buddy or campmates?

i pray i do so. :)

also, kimbo's bimbo-ness, mandy's glam-ness, TSBF Leon's Open-ness, Kelly's hot-ness would also be tops in my list

on a side note, UNCLE ALAN's BACK :D and TSBF Leon's coming back in 8 days time! and Aviel's coming back tomorrow for a short break :)
