PS Cafe // YCK Jetty. dinner with bryan!

so after the casting call @ Velvet Dragon, Bryan picked me up and we went to Dempsey Road's PS (projectshop) Cafe.

the food sounded damn pretentious, but deserves it coz it tastes wonderful! even the caesar salad was great. my pasta wasn't too dry nor too wet, just right. The pecan pie is really fei-si-wo-le quality, and worth every calorie and transfat inside. Bryan had no qualms about his too.

yes, my pecan pie is sex on a platter. ambience is nice, PS cafe is known for its trademark wood and white bricks, with chalkboards everywhere. with it's fluroscent spherical ceiling lights.

afterwhich, Bryan wanted to let off some steam (after workload being so stressful) that we went for a IMPROMPTU ROAD TRIP!

YCK Jetty! haha. it's a very deserted place that has to go through so many deserted and long stretched roads. it's next to some police camp.

(one thing special about this buddy of mine is that, he'll surprise me whenever we go out for a meal, last time, after the Ripcurl beach volley tourney, we had dinner @ Tongshui cafe @ river valley and drove all the way down to West Coast Park for a stroll and barrels of laughter!)

the YCK jetty was sparse and really small, a few malay fishermen with their luminous fishing rods caught many small ones. the wind was very strong and we spent our time chatting as he shared his NS Commando days with me, and comparing his time and now, i guess i should feel very fortunate.

we shared our relationship histories and realised how much we have in common and how in the same boat we are. as we opened up to each other and shared how we felt about our exes, i felt that there was a sense of deliverance and closure in our respective emotional hurts.

and of course, there's this long stretch / temporary runway back from YCK road, and so, Bryan decided to be not so churchy and became an Initial D fan. hur. the adrenaline was OMGHOTSEX (esp whilst listening to Sun Ho's english single "ends of the earth" in its various remixes) drum beats and the accelerate pedal sound. argh. the vehicle geek in me :)

thanks Bryan :D next time dinner's on me. and thanks for sharing with me the Almighty. now that's what friends are for.
